I’m Mandy, registered clinical nutritionist, qualified chef and bit of a broken record when it comes to the saying, “Just Eat Real Food.”
If you’re wanting to get a handle on your weight, are sick and tired of feeling sick and tired or just are completely confused about what food is actually healthy, then you’ve come to the right place.
My mission is to help you feel confident and empowered with food knowledge and diet choices so that you can live that great BIG healthy life you’ve been dreaming of.
I work with clients, individually or in groups, and have a special interest in
- Weight management – increase or decrease
- Digestive health issues – bloating, cramping, gas, nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, reflux and indigestion
- Navigating nutrition confusion – because let’s face it… we’ve done a darn good job of getting ourselves pretty nutritionally muddled over the last 40 years.
Moving away from diet culture
My approach to nutrition is all about getting away from restrictive diets, and instead learning to know what foods we feel best on, what nutrients we biologically need to function optimally and age well, and then how does this actually fit into your day in a sustainable way.
Health is more than just what we eat, it’s also determined by how we move, what we think about and how we prioritize sleep and recovery. These are components I have built into my own life and the longer I practice nutrition the more they feature in my client plans as well.
Why I do what I do
I studied nutrition partly because I just LOVE finding answers to questions that impact our lives day to day. It also really upsets me to see amazing humans going through life, trapped in weight gain and chronic ill health, when so often a few diet and lifestyle changes can make a significant difference to quality of life.
The perfect day for me involves waking up full of energy and having a plan. Work hard, play hard, rest hard. Let’s do it together.
